My husband's pet name for me is BEE. That is how much I love flowers.
I have worked as a florist for nearly 10 years, as a freelancer, and in a shop - and in all that time I have grown to love doing wedding flowers more than anything else. The infectious joy of the day, and the creative scope such a big event allows really inspires my creativity.
I have a background in the art world, which really informs my work, with a Masters of Fine Art, and as an exhibiting sculpture, you can be sure that the flowers I create for you will be an absolute masterpiece.
I pride myself in keeping abreast of current trends in the flower world, but also nourish and grow my own distinctive style. My work is loose, natural and unstructured; definitely not of the perfectly spherical bouquet school of thought! I like to make big bold bouquets, and really enjoy sourcing unusual and unexpected flowers and foliage from the flower markets, so you can be sure that your wedding bouquet will be different from all the others on pinterest!
I absolutely adore what I do, I so hope you enjoy browsing my creations here xxx
Art is my thing.
Art is who I am.
I have always made art, and always will. Apart from studying it, and working in very creative fields like photography and floristry, I have always made art for the pure joy of it.
I am a sculpture, a printmaker, a jeweler and painter. I also sew, knit, dye fabric and make functional ceramics.
Please contact me to purchase any of these prints on a vast array of apparel and homewares.
I have owned a camera for almost all of my life.
I studied photography at the National Art School, and Sydney College of the Arts, and have a Masters degree in Fine Art.
I am a passionate portrait photographer, and really enjoy the challenge of taking photos that convey my subjects' personalities, feelings, and true essence - rather than just their face...
...though I'm quite good at making you look pretty too!
